The Boston Bruins Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit foundation whose mission is to assist charitable organizations that demonstrate a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for children throughout New England. Since its inception in July 2003 by the Jacobs Family, it has raised more than $2 million dollars through a series of fundraising events. The Foundation, which provides grants to organizations that meet the standards of its mission, concentrates on athletics, academics, health, and community outreach programs that assist in helping enrich the lives of children throughout New England.

The Boston Bruins Holiday Tournament is making its debut at the Haverhill Valley Forum this year. This event will feature Mite and Squirt squads that will participate in a minimum of three games over a four-day period.

Bruins Foundation Headlines
The Bruins Foundation and the Boston Chapter of the Professional Hockey Writers Association (PHWA) have partnered to make a donation to a charity of their choosing at the end of the 2008-2009 season. Two and half hours before every Bruins home game, there is a press meal served in the Will McDonough Press Room at the TD Banknorth Garden for working members of the media.  Those members of the media who wish to dine in the Press Room will be asked to make a $5.00 donation and 100 percent of the donation will go to the Boston Bruins Foundation. At the end of the year, the Bruins Foundation and the Boston Chapter of the PHWA will mutually agree upon a charity to which they will donate 100 percent of the proceeds. More »
